Small and intimate weddings are our new normal at the moment because of current restrictions. The gorgeous Stratford wedding is a great example of how small weddings can be fun, intimate and full of love an emotion. surrounded by their closet family and friends, sarah and Dave had a beautiful, autumn wedding in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. both the bride and groom got ready for their wedding with their best friends at the Townhouse, in rooms next door to each other! It was great to be able to pop between rooms to photograph both as they prepared to get married!
Town Hall Wedding Ceremony
Sarah walked across the streets of Stratford with her Dad and bridesmaid to her wedding ceremony held at the Town Hall. The Town Hall is a grand building in the heart of this historical market town. a beautiful building, housing many historical paintings, make it a romantic, atmospheric place to hold a wedding ceremony. Dave, waiting with his wedding guests and best man had the biggest smile as Sarah entered the room to walk down the aisle with her Dad. A fun, relaxed ceremony set the scene for the rest of their wedding day.
Sarah and Dave walked out of the Town Hall as newlyweds to a shower of confetti. Whilst guests made their way to the Townhouse for the wedding breakfast, Sarah, Dave and I explored the surrounding streets of Stratford for some wedding portraits. As we walked around, Sarah and Dave were treated like celebs, congratulations passed on to them from tourists and lots of well wishes and cheers! Sarah looked amazing in an unusual fifties style dress which showed off her quirky Irregular Choice wedding shoes.
The beauty of a small wedding is that you get to chat ands spend lots of time with everyone there. Sarah and Dave were so relaxed and happy chatting to they rguests and enjoying drinks, before an intimate dinner together in a separate, more private area of the Townhouse.
During wedding prep in the morning, Sarah and her bridesmaid hd been admiring beautiful free standing bath in the bridal suite. I tagged along as they went up to the room to freshen up after dinner, so that we could take some fun shots in the bath. We had such a giggle and I love the bath photographs as they really show off the lovely friendship these two share!
More guest arrived for the evening celebrations. Imagine a great night in a lovely pub, chatting and having a giggle with all of your favourite people. Definitely a plus to having a small and intimate wedding.
