I adore being a wedding photographer.
I love the energy and excitement that surrounds each wedding
I love being right in the middle of things. I love freezing moments in time so you can return to them again and again. I love capturing two people in love surrounded by everybody who’s turned up to celebrate with them. Most of all, I love creating beautiful, honest images filled with emotion.
Family means the world to me. After tragically losing my wonderful dad a few years ago, I know just how much the little moments matter. I firmly believe you can never have too many photographs of the people you love most.
For me, life is all about exploring, going on adventures, laughing lots and collecting memories along the way. I live just outside Solihull with my husband, our two daughters, a very vocal cat called Ziggy and our dog, Skye. My pony, Max, lives down the road. He’s been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. You could say we’ve grown up together! My favourite photo of all time is of me galloping him across a field in my wedding dress and veil.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m happiest on a beach in Cornwall. We visit regularly, so you’ll often find me in wellies, flying kites or body boarding down sand dunes with the kids. Closer to home, I love chatting the afternoon away in a cosy coffee shop, curling up on the sofa with a good book, and sharing family movie nights complete with PJs and popcorn.
Who is poppy k?
So, you’ve noticed my name’s Claire, not Poppy! I named the business after my two daughters. Photographing my gorgeous girls is what originally propelled me into the world of professional photography, and they remain a huge source of inspiration.
