We have had one hell of a summer so far and Sarah & Sean’s Shustoke Barn wedding wedding fell right in the middle of our amazing heat wave! This beautiful 18th century, red brick barn is the perfect place for an exclusive celebration.
I met Sarah & Sean a while ago when I photographed a family shoot for them when their son was just 1. It is great to connect with a couple or a family and then go on to capture their most amazing days! I was really excited to be booked for their wedding.
On the morning of their wedding I caught up with the girls for bridal prep which at Sarah’s parents home. It was great fun and Sarah’s bridesmaids and Dad were blown away by Sarah’s wedding dress reveal!
Sarah & Sean chose to have a church ceremony near to their home in Birmingham before heading off for celebrations at Shustoke Barn.
I have to admit, these gorgeous barns are a favourite for me to photograph at. Set in the Warwickshire countryside, surrounded by beautiful scenery, this pretty, rustic barn is an awesome venue. There is always a great vibe. The private courtyard with it’s gorgeous olive trees, is the perfect place for guests to come together, chill out in the sunshine, drink and be merry! Sarah & Sean had a great crowd sharing their day with them. A magician kept everyone entertained and very amused as they relaxed, along with garden games- giant jenga and connect 4.
The beautiful evening light- golden hour- is a favourite time for some romantic couple portraits. As the sun was starting to set, Sarah & Sean took a walk in the stubble field, making the most of the stunning light. The trees at the front of Shustoke Barn look so pretty as evening falls. Festoon lights are strung across them, giving off a beautiful glow, making it a great spot for the last few couple shots. The evening kicked off with dancing, sparklers, cigars (wedding favours!). Guests toasted huge marshmallows on the fire pits in the fairy lit courtyard. A perfect day, which was brilliant to be part of.
