Charlotte & Ryan waited nearly 3 years and eventually got their beautiful Stanbrook Abbey Wedding. They had the most gorgeous, sunny, spring day to celebrate their wedding with their closest family & friends.
After originally meeting these guys a couple of years ago, it was great to to catch up with them again last year for their pre-wedding shoot at Kenilworth Castle. Their wedding still seemed so far away and uncertain with the restrictions still on and off for Covid-19. We had the most beautiful evening light on their shoot and as luck would have it, this beautiful light followed them to their wedding day too!
Stanbrook Abbey
A Stanbrook Abbey wedding is a grand affair! I met the bridal party in the manor house which is an amazing space for everyone to have hair and make-up done. The girls were busy with preparations and Charlotte was chilled but excited about the day ahead. The men hung out in the grooms room before heading out to meet guests as they started to arrive.
The bridesmaids first got to see Charlotte’s beautiful dress and she came down the grand staircase in the Manor house. Charlotte’s dad was emotional as he saw her for the first time. The ceremony took place in the magnificent Callow Great Hall before the couple walked through a long confetti line into the gardens for drinks and canapes.
The day felt like summer with guests wearing sunglasses and enjoying garden games on the lawn. There was a relaxed, chilled vibe and it was great to see family and friends enjoying being in each other’s company.
Stanbrook Abbey has the most picturesque spaces for couple portraits. We headed round to the swing by the willow lake before exploring the cloisters inside. Charlotte & Ryan enjoyed some time together before heading into the garden pavillion for their wedding breakfast, followed by funny, emotional speeches.
I am always on the look-out for the evening light at every wedding as it is beautiful for some extra couple shots with that bit of magic! It is always fun too to sneak off for a few more moments together before the partying begins!
These guys had all the best wedding details- donuts, flip flops, blankets to take out into the gardens to snuggle up with, a pic n mix sweet table and sparklers! they also had an awesome band- Apollo Anthems who played their first dance in St Annes hall and really got the party started!
It was an absolute pleasure to be part of this amazing wedding day- loved every minute of it!
I would love to hear from you if you are planning your wedding! Say HELLO
