Spring?- I know- where did the time go?! I have wanted to share this beautiful wedding for a while. Becky & James planned their beautiful wedding at Stanbrook Abbey ,Worcester in just a few months. I got to know Becky & James during a rainy pre-wedding shoot at Hurcott Wood. When their wedding day came around they couldn’t have had a sunnier day!
Stanbrook Abbey Wedding
You can’t help being blown away as you step inside Stanbrook Abbey. A former Grade II listed monastery, dating back to the 16th century, the hotel is packed full of character. Original architecture makes this a real stand out wedding venue. Dramatic stone cloisters and beautiful stained glass windows keeps the history of the abbey alive. The abbey is nestled in the Malvern hills, surrounded by 26 acres of gardens, overlooking the Worcestershire countryside. So many beautiful photo opportunities, both inside and outside stanbrook Abbey. With great little, private spaces in the gardens for some alone time, it is a brilliant place to capture gorgeous couple shots following your wedding ceremony!
Wedding Day!
As I arrived at Stanbrook Abbey, I went in search of the wedding party. The boy’s were already looking smart in their suits, busy organising while the girls chilled, having hair & make up done. Becky was a very relaxed bride and looked absolutely gorgeous.
Becky & James had their wedding ceremony in the stunning chapel- The Callow Great Hall. Just the walk up the aisle is mega , with guests lined up facing into the chapel instead of the more traditional forward seating. It is so grand, giving a real wow feeling to the ceremony.
Following confetti and drinks on the terrace in the sunshine, Becky & James enjoyed a really relaxed day with their loved ones. with an early wedding ceremony, they has lots of time in between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception to spend time with guests and to have some fun! Becky had planned an easter egg hunt and had been busy hiding letters around the venue! This is an epic venue for an easter egg hunt! The kids (and adults) were kept busy, working in teams to find clues had great fun finding them and had great fun working out the puzzle. They were chuffed with their easter egg prizes!
With the clocks changing a few days before, Becky & James enjoyed a long, sunny evening as guests arrived for the evening celebrations. A gorgeous wedding- Loved being part of it!
If you are getting married, I would love to hear from you. Say hello!
Great set of images – love them.
Thank you 🙂
