When I think back to this summer wedding, it makes me smile! It was so vibrant and alive with a mix of colours, twists of tradition, dancing and a whole lot of fun. I met Raakhee & Pablo and their 2 children for a pre-wedding/ family shoot at the Wolverhampton Grammar School. I loved them immediately, they were great fun on the shoot and I could tell their love for their family and friends was going to be at the forefront of their wedding.
Capturing Raakhee getting ready for her wedding with close family and friends was very special. She was helped into a tradition indian wedding sari and looked stunning. Her husband Pablo and children wore matching dress and colours.
The wedding ceremony at Grand Station, Wolverhampton was beautiful and emotional. Tradition was mixed with a twist which included 2 songs- Stand By Me- Ben E. King and You Are The Sunshine In My Life- Stevie Wonder. Instead of traditional readings, friends read an extract from the film When Harry Met Sally. Funny and touching, it was a very emotional!
Guests went on to a brilliant reception held at Wolverhampton Grammar school. Great Indian Cuisine was served as guests danced and the party kicked off straight away. There was a strong sense of embracing different cultures, their love for their families and many different friendships from all their walks in life.
Wow- did these guys know how to party. Amazing music, amazing dancing- I didn’t want to leave. It was fantastic to be part of this day. Loved every minute!
