After meeting these guys over 3 years ago and then working with them to reschedule because of Covid stresses, it was amazing to be there at Coton House Farm, photographing their wedding day! Coton House Farm weddings are right up there with the best. It is a beautiful venue. An exclusive use, luxury wedding barn full of character and rustic charm. Coton House Farm has an intimate feel, tucked away and surrounded by Litchfield countryside in Staffordshire.
Outdoor Wedding at The Pegoda
This couple had planned their perfect day, including all the things that were meaningful to them. Their day started with a very personal, emotional, celebrant led ceremony. Held outdoors at the pretty pegoda, under the glorious sunshine. It was the most beautiful ceremony, including the couples story, their own vows and a hand tied ribbon ritual which included their closet loved ones. All the guests were given a jenga block to write a personal message or word on. They were invited up at the end of the ceremony to greet the couple and to add their block to the jenga tower. There were tears all round- I don’t think I have ever witnessed such an emotional ceremony!
Wedding Fun & Games
The couple and their guests enjoyed drinks on the patio and some fun activities on the lawn. There was a rodeo bull, an inflatable slide, a bouncy castle and a penalty goal! Brides and bridesmaids who hitch up their dresses and give the men a run for their money on a rodeo bull are my kind of women!! The games provided loads of entertainment and brought everyone together to have some fun.
At the wedding breakfast, the couple had a surprise for their guests. One person from each table had been nominated as chief meat carver and was presented with a hat and apron for the task. Following food and speeches, we took advantage of the stunning evening light and sneaked off for some couple portraits in the surrounding fields.
The fun continued into the evening with a fantastic barn dance. It was a great way to get all the guests up on the dance floor!
A brilliant wedding, so much fun to photograph and the loveliest people to be surrounded by.
