I was so excited to photograph this Berkswell church wedding. After the upset of having to reschedule their wedding from last year, Brogan & Patrick decided to go ahead with a small, intimate wedding ceremony with closest family. They have planned to follow this with a bigger wedding celebration with all their loved ones, when restrictions ease in a few weeks time.
Brogan had bridal prep at home and there was a real wedding day buzz as hair and makeup took place. Brogan invited close friends round for celebratory drinks as she finished getting ready. it was a gorgeous day and the group enjoyed fizz in the garden, enjoying the sunshine before it was time to leave for the wedding ceremony. Maggie, the couple’s gorgeous cocker spaniel, got in on the wedding action and looked totally adorable, wearing a beautiful flower garland round her neck! She was not fazed by all the excitement although she was quite partial to sitting on Brogan’s gorgeous wedding dress train!
Berkswell Church Wedding Ceremony
Berkswell Church is so pretty, set in the heart of this little, historic village on the outskirts of Warwickshire. As guests started to arrive, there was the normal wedding buzz, even though guest numbers were limited. The church wedding ceremony was personal and meaningful, with the reverend even holding an entertaining ‘poll’ with the wedding guests during the service! It meant so much to be able to witness a beautiful wedding again today after the heartbreak of so many weddings being cancelled and rescheduled.
It’s not a proper wedding without confetti right?! Most of the couples that book me, don’t want posed or staged shots, but the confetti run is still really popular. It is fab for natural laughter and smiles and is still a favourite tradition for most. Brogan had been saving rose petals for the last year for this very moment! Confetti, celebratory hugs and family photographs followed the ceremony.
The best part is we get to do it all again! Watch this space for the next wedding celebration for this lovely couple!
